CHARACTERISTICS

In its various mirrors of water with a large production of pasture sheep and cattle, fauna can be observed: aquatic birds such as pink flamingos and black-necked swans, cauquenes (great bustards or geese) and maras (Patagonian hares).
It is also possible to go horseback riding or off-road trekking, enjoying changing landscapes and unforgettable skies with whimsical clouds.
The most important event in Tecka is the traditional Regional Festival of El Calafate, which takes place every January and has various activities, a fair for producers and artisans, presentations by local and provincial artists, games and the election of the queen.
The Mausoleum of the Chief Inakayal is one of its most important historical attractions. Of Mapuche origin (Huilliche) Inakayal was a great protagonist in the historical events of Northern Patagonia and the province of Chubut during the so-called Conquest of the Desert

Located on Route 40 in a valley of great livestock production, its panoramic landscapes and unforgettable skies give it a special charm of tranquility.

LOCATION

Tecka is a town in the west of the province of Chubut, located on National Route 40. It is located 100 kilometers from Esquel, 84 from Gobernador Costa, 88 from Corcovado, 485 kilometers from Trelew on National Route 25 and 114 from Palena (Chile).
